Apparently the only way to change your username is to create a new account.  My username, profoundlyscrewedup, has been bothering me for a long time.  You see, I created this account when I thought I would only use deviantArt for posting angsty ridiculous poetry about how screwed up my life was.  I thought deviantArt was just for amateurs who wanted to complain about their life in bad poetry. But as I used deviantArt, I began to realize it was the real deal.  I found artists on deviantArt that were better than anything I'd ever found before.  Also, through participation in this community, I became more motivated to pursue my own art.   I was

So, I've been so busy I haven't checked DA for a long time.... but I logged in today and went through all my deviantWatch peoples.... and I saw SO many things of such splendor and power and beauty!  I feel as if I have ingested all the beautiful colors into my soul and am now just glowing with the radiance of that bliss.  This is a miracle website.  Honestly.  Congratulations Artists for how frickin' talented you are. I am now a college graduate, which is very exciting.  I'll be striking out on my own to the big city of San Francisco.  Part of me is hyper-worried about the logistical details (like finding an apartment) and part of me is really excited!!!  Life as a "real grownup" is about to begin.  I don't know whether to jump for joy or bite off what remains of my nails.  Wish me luck everyone-- and hope I get lots of time to do art!
